Athens Workshop - 17 February
January 15th 2016
CSO Alliance Athens Workshop with Hellenic War Risks Club and BIMCO
Wednesday 17 February
The driving force behind CSO Alliance is our member CSOs. By gathering together regularly we are steadily building a united voice to influence events that affect our community.
We are delighted to be visiting Athens again with BIMCO, who can give an insight into ship owners’ perspectives on key issues. This time we will also be joined by the Hellenic War Risks Club, who will give an update on what is covered by the Club and work through a scenario of what support a CSO can expect from the club in the time of a kidnap crisis.
The workshop will include a brief on Migrant issues and the lessons learned from the 1,200 ships diverted over the last two years in the Mediterranean. We will have an update on Floating Armouries and weapons checking issues.
At this free to attend half day event there will not only be a series of short interesting presentations, but plenty of time for questions and debate. One of the most enlightening features of our summer workshop was the hot debate that ensued, so we will allow more time for the floor.
Other topics covered will range from innovations to Military briefing, crisis response and market insights.
We are honoured that The Angelicoussis Group have made their auditorium available so the venue is convenient for our CSOs. We will host an informal reception after the workshop.
The invitations we will be released to the Athens CSO community next week, but if you would like to register now please email RSVP@csoalliance.com or call +44 (0) 1296 325700.
