CSOA Report: GPS Interference in Arabian Gulf

August 9th 2019
August 08: The US Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration (MARAD) has released an advisory warning of GPS interference in the Persian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, and Gulf of Oman. The report warns that vessels operating in these areas may “encounter GPS interference, bridge-to-bridge communications spoofing, and/or other communications jamming with little to no warning.” (MARAD, 2019)
