Developing our Membership in 2015

The most telling statistic to date is that all of our 2014 CSO members have renewed their annual memberships.
We will keep investing and evolving the platform delivery, based on our member feedback. From around 20 sheets of paper on a wall in 2013 the CSO Alliance was created by CSOs for CSOs, and is steadily gaining credibility. However whatever initiatives we run, nothing is more highly valued than CSOs word of mouth recommendations.
Our members over the year need to see savings of their time and their company’s money. We need to make it easier to assess the risks their crews face. The cutting edge business community software allows CSOs to work as one and we can build the reporting of crime against ships, crews and cargoes. The easy access to this data and the collecting of credible evidence with all the relevant stakeholders will create a legal finish, which will in time ensure we can effectively deal with organised maritime criminal activity.
We will continue to run CSO workshops, and are currently planning to visit Hong Kong on the February 23rd and Singapore on the 25th. We aim to be supported with Military and Industry speakers at these events.
We have been invited to Ghana at the end of March were we will focus on CSOs from the Offshore sector. In a recent meeting with the International Association of Marine Contractors, it became clear that there are many synergies to develop. We aim to travel to Aberdeen at the end of January begin that work.
This newsletter is only mailed to CSOs we have contacted and who have accepted our invitation to receive it, so it is an evolving niche grouping. We will work on feedback and the content to keep it informative and relevant, so don’t hesitate to speak your mind!
We cannot do this alone, we do need and are very grateful for the support of our Industry supporters Norwegian Hull Club and BIMCO as well as our profiled and featured suppliers to date: GAC, Port2Port, Alphard, MRQ and Securewest. We have some new companies to sign up in 2015 to this exclusive team.
GAC were our first supporter to complete a year and we are delighted they have agreed to continue for 2015. It is important to mention our Listed suppliers, whose support also is essential in driving the platform forward.
