Evolution Not Revolution

January 30th 2015
After much hard work, we have reached sufficient membership levels to justify making some evolutionary developments to the CSO Alliance platform. Part of this will include revamping the look and feel of the public site to ensure that we deliver a clear message from the CSO Alliance membership to the world.

Vitally the main focus will be on internal features.

We will incorporate better tracking of conversations in Groups, so that you can see which groups have an active conversation and how many comments have been made. There is always an ebb and flow in hot topics.

The online database is a powerful tool and we will make a short online video to help all CSOs understand how to maximise the benefits it has to offer. We will do this for all key features.

We have an online web meeting function in final testing which will allow for web conference briefs that members request.

We also wish to improve the ways we recognise the support of our listed and ,especially, our profiled partners. Their funding ensures that CSO Alliance continues to invest in CSO needs.

We have Suppliers, Ship Owners, Military, NGOs and Industry Associations all working together to better fight maritime crime. This consultation is vital to CSO Alliance’s continued development.

There is more we can do to ensure we generate reports that add value to CSO daily tasks, but we need a wide range of views from the CSO members before starting to write code for the platform.

We have a Group on the site, called CSO Alliance Improvements. Please visit this group to make suggestions and provide your insights.
