Forthcoming CSO Alliance Workshops Announced

Having run successful workshops for CSOs in London, Singapore and Dubai, CSO Alliance is poised to run similar events in mainland Europe.

The workshops, designed to showcase the unique, online CSO Alliance (CSOA) platform, were run on an informal basis, and proved popular. The Alliance workshops bring CSOs from all shipping sectors together and the plan is to run workshops in Rotterdam on 27 May and Antwerp on 28 May.

CSOA is an online platform created by CSOs, for CSOs. Designed to provide not only information but information and intelligence sharing within the international shipping community, the platform creates a highly secure online community where CSOs can discuss any and all topics related to the industry, maritime crime and security and fight organized crime using highly specialized tools.

We appreciate that CSOs are often over-worked and often under-funded and rarely get to meet their counterparts at other companies. The free CSOA workshop is designed not only to inform CSOs about the platform and its benefits, but also to allow CSOs to meet in a very informal setting.

CSO Alliance has demonstrated the platform to Military Co-ordination centres, the Insurance community including the International Group of P&I Clubs, BIMCO, and many shipping NGOs and are pleased to report that we are gathering not only good will, but in some cases proactive support.

CSO Alliance has events planned in Rotterdam on May 27th, at the Engels Hotel, which will consist of a short workshop, beginning at 10:30am and finishing with an informal lunch. On May 28th, we will be in Antwerp, hosted by the Belgian Shipowners? Association, hosting a similar workshop at 10:30am with lunch.

If you are Company Security Officer and interested in attending either of these events, please contact:
