Nor-Shipping - On the road with our sponsors

June 15th 2015
Phil Manny joined CSO Alliance in May in the role of Global Sales Manager, so Nor-Shipping in Oslo was an excellent opportunity for him to develop an understanding of the scale of the Shipping Industry, foster new relationships and promote CSO Alliance.

With an Oil and Gas heritage, Phil knows how important it is to get on the road and develop a new network. Where else can you have the opportunity to meet the senior management team of Assa Abloy, the CEO for the Oman Dry Docking Company and several Wilhelmsen Group divisions? The real benefit was the opportunity to speak to the amazing people who run and supply the Shipping industry, show them the CSO Alliance in action and show off the sponsors we have backing us. This helps our sponsors with their brand development without them leaving their offices.

It was clear that this massive event would not have happened had it not been for the exhibition supporters, but it came at a heavy financial cost. We take our relationship with our sponsors extremely seriously. We offer cost effective impact and are innovating with a series of ‘grouped’ CSO-only workshops throughout the world for 2015/2016. These workshops support the platform development as well as helping CSOs around the globe communicate, share best practice, and combat organised maritime crime.

It was clear to Phil from the trip to Norway that the shipping sector is a close-knit community, which he is excited to be a part of.
